Back to my roots!

Well, I put traveling aside for a while and decided to go back to school. I am now living in Philadelphia and going to Temple University School of Medicine. It has been a whirlwind of a month getting adjusted to medical school life, moving into a new place, making new friends, but I love it! It's crazy to think that this time last year I was living back in Provo, confused as ever as to what I was going to do with my life and never even thinking about traveling the world because my financial situation would never allow me to. Now, I have done a little bit of traveling in Europe and am planning on traveling to Asia next summer during my 8 week break between year 1 and year 2 of medical school!

I do miss traveling quite a bit but I know I am where I need to be and am doing what I need to be doing.

I have enjoyed my classes at school and I LOVE my classmates!! There is never a dull moment!! The ward out here is so much fun too!! There is also always a TON of stuff to do in Philly so it's nearly impossible to get bored.

But when the times get tough, (so for sounding so cliche) I just look for the light at the end of the tunnel...the short tunnel leads to my adventures next summer abroad and the long tunnel leads to a career in medicine and hopefully one day being financially stable enough to travel as much as I want!! :)

I will keep updating my blog every once in a while but for the next 9 months or so, I'll be in Philly, back in the city where I was born. :)
