It's official!!!

So things in Philly have been going GREAT!! :) I think I have finally gotten into the swing of medical school, which is good seeing as how I've been in medical school for nearly 4 months now!! I can't believe it's been that long already!! Don't worry though, I am still planning trips whenever I can!! The Asia trip is still the most likely option for next summer, although I might do an internship with Temple Medicine in Beijing for the month of July. I would be learning Chinese Acupuncture!! But I'm not sure if i'll be applying for that.

Well, the big news around here is that last week Temple University School of Medicine FINALLY had their White Coat Ceremony!! That's right!! I got my "Doctor" white coat!! Except it's a short white coat since i'm not a doctor yet, you get the long white coat when you graduate medical school. :) It was a great day!! I had lots of family come down from New York and Maryland and of course my parents came too. We all went out to dinner at Maggiano's, my favorite Italian restaurant, after the ceremony. We brought along one of my besties here, Katherine and her boyfriend Aaron! Naturally they became part of the family that night, what can I say, Hispanic families are just that way!! :) Here are some pictures from the white coat ceremony!!
This is a picture of Kerri and Katherine, we were anatomy lab partners and pretty much became inseparable after that. Love these girls!!
With our white coats and Zach, he was also in our lab group. :)
Everyone at dinner!! It was so much fun!! Thanks to everyone who could make it!! I love you all!!
